Prayer, worship and the Word are foundational cornerstones at the heart of Passion Church. God delights in our worship, and we delight in worshipping Him! As we go after God and invite His tangible presence, He gives us greater revelation of who He is and what He has done. Our worship is our response to God as we declare and exalt Him simply for who He is, His character and worthiness.
We worship with expectation; to fellowship with God individually and as a family, to enjoy His presence and receive new revelation, and to give glory to Him as He encounters us with miracles of salvation and healing by His love and power. 2 Chronicles 5:13-14 says,
"...indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying:
"For He is good, For His mercy endures forever," that the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God."
It is in this God-storm of His glory that the prophetic realm opens up to us and we hear God's voice, we sense Holy Spirit direction; and in this "storm" of His presence we see God's sovereign acts of healing, deliverance, and salvation.
GLENN WRISTEN has been involved in some aspect of worship ministry as long as he can remember. As a kid, his mother had him singing in church choirs, and that continued into his college years. After college, drums became his worship instrument of choice before venturing into other instruments and ultimately leading worship. As the worship pastor Glenn oversees the Passion Church worship ministry. Glenn believes as we purposefully express our deepest worship to God that He will respond with the glory of His tangible presence, pouring out His love and power upon us.
